Biography
Savva Zverev is First Concertmaster of the Philharmonisches Orchester Gießen at the Stadttheater Gießen. Based in Germany, he pursues a varied career as a concerto soloist, concertmaster and chamber musician.
As a soloist, he has appeared in concertos with the Hallé, the Sofia Sinfonietta and the Northern Ballet Sinfonia, and has performed Paganini's 24 Caprices at the Chester and Lake District music festivals.
A dedicated chamber musician, Savva is a member of the Zvonder Trio with pianist Sid Ramchander and cellist Waynne Kwon of the London Philharmonic Orchestra.
Savva previously held positions with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, and he continues to appear as guest leader with orchestras in the UK. He has led the London Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the BBC National Orchestra of Wales and the Royal Ballet Sinfonia.
